BIG EDDY MARINA There is only one marina on the reservoir located at the west end of the reservoir just north of the dam. This is the only gasoline on the reservoir. The marina is part of Dworshak State Park and houses the main park office. The fuel dock is staffed daily from about Memorial Day through Labor Day. They have ice and popsicles, and there is a phone generally available. There is also a fish cleaning station, restrooms, swim beach, barbecue grills, playground and a trail head. The trail follows the reservoir all the way to Freeman Creek.
As the water drops the marina drops also, there are steps, lots of steps. A lower parking lot does surface on the ramp. You can see it in the left of this picture. The park also manages the larger boat / houseboat moorage located in Merry's Bay. The moorage buoys are off shore and you need another boat to access them. There is currently moorage for six boats and they are all taken. Plans are in the works to replace the existing six and possibly add news ones in the spring of 2005. Depending on costs of the new buoys there may be up to a total of twelve.
